I have recently come across so many gorgeous make up products which have become some of my holy grails! Some of these are new on the market while others have been around for a while. I bought these products from Priceline, Mecca Maxima and an online site called Beauty Joint.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye Shadow - $11.95 - I have the colours 70 Barely Branded and 25 Bad to the Bronze. These products are cream eye shadows. I've never actually worn these for 24 hours so I can't say if they really last that long but I have worn them for just over 12 hours and they do last really well. They're so light on the lids and you can apply with your fingers as they are so easy to blend. Barely branded is a really pretty light nude colour. It is the perfect eye shadow to wear if you want to wear a really natural look but still brighten your eyes. You can also use it has a highlight in the inner corner. Bad to the Bronze is a really pretty dark bronzed brown. This can also been worn by itself or layered with other eye shadows. These eye shadows can also be used as the perfect base. I would definitely recommend these if you're on the lookout for affordable cream eye shadows.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - $21.95 I love this mascara. I have only recently purchased it, but since then I haven't been able to put it down. It does everything. It curls the lashes beautifully, it lengthens, and the volume it gives is amazing. You have to be careful and scrape off any excess before applying to the lashes to prevent clumping. It also doesn't smudge which is a bonus. It also comes in a waterproof version which I am yet to try.
Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo - $43. This is the first high end highlighter I have ever bought and its really pretty. It's perfectly pigmented, and gives a beautiful golden glow. I think it's quite affordable for a high end highlighter which is great. It looks really natural and doesn't sink into any pores or fine lines. It's so easy to use and would suit most skin types. I've been really into highlighters lately so if you have any good recommendations please let me know.
Maybelline Colour Sensational Stripped Nudes Lipstick - 725 Tantalizing Taupe - $16.95 -
So recently I've been experimenting with a lot more lipsticks and I'm really liking Maybelline lipsticks. This colour is the perfect creamy nude colour. It's doesn't have major pigmentation but still has quite a lot of colour. I personally love the amount of colour. It doesn't dry out the lips at all and is actually really moisturising. It almost feels like a balm. It also has a really sweet fragrance which I like, while others may not. I definitely recommend these lipsticks especially if you're looking for a moisturising semi sheer lipsticks.
Maybelline Colour Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick - 705 Blushing Bud - $16.95 - This is the other lipstick I've been loving recently. It's a really gorgeous mauve blushed pink. This one is not as moisturising as the Stripped Nudes lipstick but it still doesn't dry the lips and the colour lasts for a long period of time before it needs reapplying. I'm really addicted to this colour right now as it gives a decent amount of pink to the lips without being too fall on and harsh. Its a really pretty wearable colour. If you're don't wear a lot of lipstick but want to try out some pinks then I would definitely give this one a shot.
Elf High Definition Under Eye Setting Powder - $8 - Before I purchased this product I was just using my face powder to set my under eye concealer and now this product has changed that. At first it didn't seem like you got much product but a little goes a long way. I love that it doesn't give colour and looks really flawless. It does have a little bit of sparkle in it, but I love this so much that it doesn't effect how I see the product. It sets concealer really well and prevents creasing.
Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint - 002 Touch of Berry - $6.80 (price may vary) I've been loving this blush! At first I thought it would be really sheer and would give no colour but when I tried it I was amazed. I use a stippling brush to apply it and it gives a beautiful rosy pop of colour to the cheeks. The best thing about this is, as it is a tint, is that it lasts all day. It also has a really nice fresh smell to it which I really like. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.
LA Girl Pro Concealer - $3 - It amazes me how cheap this product is when it is so good. This concealer actually covers everything. I use it on my face and under my eyes. The only negative is the packaging as it is a little hard to get the product out. The colour selection is great as you can use them as a highlight, concealer or contour. It's really easy to blend and has such amazing coverage. I still can't get over how cheap it is!
Elf Matte Lip Colour - Nearly Nude - $8 - This colour is a lot like the Maybelline stripped nudes lipstick I previously mentioned. This lipstick is more matte resulting in it being a little drying to the lips. This is a really nice nude colour to wear anywhere. I do prefer the Maybelline one, but if you are looking for a cheaper matte version I would look at this. I would like to try out the other colours in the range as they look really pretty.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara - $52 - I was so happy when I saw this mascara in the Marie Claire 20th Birthday Issue. I was so excited as I haven't tried that many high end mascaras because I think drug store mascaras are really good. It turns out I really like this mascara. It doesn't do much for curling the eyelashes but it gives lots of volume and really lengthens the eyelashes. I love wearing this when I'm not wearing much eye make up as the volume really completes the look.
Hope you guys have enjoyed this post. If you have tried any of these products, leave a comment below on what you thought about it.
