Recent haul and mini reviews!

I have recently come across so many gorgeous make up products which have become some of my holy grails! Some of these are new on the market while others have been around for a while. I bought these products from Priceline, Mecca Maxima and an online site called Beauty Joint.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye Shadow - $11.95 -  I have the colours 70 Barely Branded and 25 Bad to the Bronze. These products are cream eye shadows. I've never actually worn these for 24 hours so I can't say if they really last that long but I have worn them for just over 12 hours and they do last really well. They're so light on the lids and you can apply with your fingers as they are so easy to blend. Barely branded is a really pretty light nude colour. It is the perfect eye shadow to wear if you want to wear a really natural look but still brighten your eyes. You can also use it has a highlight in the inner corner. Bad to the Bronze is a really pretty dark bronzed brown. This can also been worn by itself or layered with other eye shadows. These eye shadows can also be used as the perfect base. I would definitely recommend these if you're on the lookout for affordable cream eye shadows.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - $21.95 I love this mascara. I have only recently purchased it, but since then I haven't been able to put it down. It does everything. It curls the lashes beautifully, it lengthens, and the volume it gives is amazing. You have to be careful and scrape off any excess before applying to the lashes to prevent clumping. It also doesn't smudge which is a bonus. It also comes in a waterproof version which I am yet to try.

Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo - $43. This is the first high end highlighter I have ever bought and its really pretty. It's perfectly pigmented, and gives a beautiful golden glow. I think it's quite affordable for a high end highlighter which is great. It looks really natural and doesn't sink into any pores or fine lines. It's so easy to use and would suit most skin types. I've been really into highlighters lately so if you have any good recommendations please let me know.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Stripped Nudes Lipstick - 725 Tantalizing Taupe - $16.95 -
So recently I've been experimenting with a lot more lipsticks and I'm really liking Maybelline lipsticks. This colour is the perfect creamy nude colour. It's doesn't have major pigmentation but still has quite a lot of colour. I personally love the amount of colour. It doesn't dry out the lips at all and is actually really moisturising. It almost feels like a balm. It also has a really sweet fragrance which I like, while others may not. I definitely recommend these lipsticks especially if you're looking for a moisturising semi sheer lipsticks.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick - 705 Blushing Bud - $16.95 - This is the other lipstick I've been loving recently. It's a really gorgeous mauve blushed pink. This one is not as moisturising as the Stripped Nudes lipstick but it still doesn't dry the lips and the colour lasts for a long period of time before it needs reapplying. I'm really addicted to this colour right now as it gives a decent amount of pink to the lips without being too fall on and harsh. Its a really pretty wearable colour. If you're don't wear a lot of lipstick but want to try out some pinks then I would definitely give this one a shot.

Elf High Definition Under Eye Setting Powder - $8 - Before I purchased this product I was just using my face powder to set my under eye concealer and now this product has changed that. At first it didn't seem like you got much product but a little goes a long way. I love that it doesn't give colour and looks really flawless. It does have a little bit of sparkle in it, but I love this so much that it doesn't effect how I see the product. It sets concealer really well and prevents creasing.

Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint - 002 Touch of Berry - $6.80 (price may vary) I've been loving this blush! At first I thought it would be really sheer and would give no colour but when I tried it I was amazed. I use a stippling brush to apply it and it gives a beautiful rosy pop of colour to the cheeks. The best thing about this is, as it is a tint, is that it lasts all day. It also has a really nice fresh smell to it which I really like. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

LA Girl Pro Concealer - $3 - It amazes me how cheap this product is when it is so good. This concealer actually covers everything. I use it on my face and under my eyes. The only negative is the packaging as it is a little hard to get the product out. The colour selection is great as you can use them as a highlight, concealer or contour. It's really easy to blend and has such amazing coverage. I still can't get over how cheap it is!

Elf Matte Lip Colour - Nearly Nude - $8 - This colour is a lot like the Maybelline stripped nudes lipstick I previously mentioned. This lipstick is more matte resulting in it being a little drying to the lips. This is a really nice nude colour to wear anywhere. I do prefer the Maybelline one, but if you are looking for a cheaper matte version I would look at this. I would like to try out the other colours in the range as they look really pretty.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara - $52 - I was so happy when I saw this mascara in the Marie Claire 20th Birthday Issue. I was so excited as I haven't tried that many high end mascaras because I think drug store mascaras are really good. It turns out I really like this mascara. It doesn't do much for curling the eyelashes but it gives lots of volume and really lengthens the eyelashes. I love wearing this when I'm not wearing much eye make up as the volume really completes the look.

Hope you guys have enjoyed this post. If you have tried any of these products, leave a comment below on what you thought about it.

Top 10 Favourite Drugstore Makeup Products

Hi guys! My number one place to visit is the drugstore. Today I'll be showing you my favourite drugstore makeup products that I just can't get enough of. I always find myself drifting towards Priceline whenever I go to the shops and always end up forking out a little money. I think it's amazing that you can get such high quality products for such a low price, and some even beat high end expensive products. These products in this post are my absolute fave drugstore buys. Whenever I finish them I go straight to the drugstore to stock up on more. I'd also like to give a big thankyou to one of my bestfriends who helped me set up this blog! I hope you enjoy xx.

1.Master Hi-Light Blush - 20 Pink Rose - $19.95. This is exactly what the name states. This blush is a beautiful, bright rosy blush. It creates a really pretty glow to the face due to the white highlight embedded in it. It is a little glittery so if you don't like glitter it may not be to your taste, but if you do, it is the perfect blush for summer. It has excellent pigment, creating a pretty pop of pink on your cheeks. It also comes with a brush and a mirror. This is the pinkest shade in the range and there is also a paler pink which could be used for a highlight, a peachy blush shade and a more purple blush. There's also a really nice bronzer shade. I definitely recommend these blushes if you're looking for a pretty and affordable blush for summer.

2. Chi Chi Glamorous Classics Eye Shadow Palette - $22.95. This is my favourite drugstore eye shadow palette by far. There aren't many drugstore eye shadow palettes that contain this many quality eye shadows. The colours in this palette are gorgeous, with a combination of mattes and shimmers. They have really good pigmentation and almost have a creamy feel to them. There are many different coloured palettes in this collection from nudes to metallics. This one is my favourite along with the nudes palette. The classics palette also has a few shades that are very similar to shades in the Urban Decay Naked 1 & 2 palettes. If you're looking for an eyeshadow palette, go check out the this collection as there is bound to be a palette that will suit you.

3. Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation - 115 Ivory - $18.95. I used to use the original Fit Me foundation and it was my favourite drugstore foundation. So when I heard that Maybelline were releasing two new fit me foundations I was really excited. I chose the matte and poreless as I have quite oily skin. I love the new foundation. It really does make my skin look matte and has allowed me to reduce the amount of times throughout the day that I have to touch up with powder. I like the matte and poreless formula better as it blends into my skin a lot better and looks more like my skin. This foundation is also a lot like the L'oreal True Match Foundation, so if you want to try a slightly cheaper foundation then try this fit me foundation. There is also the dewy and smooth fit me foundation so if you like a dewy foundation then I recommend you try that.

4. Maybelline Eye Studio Precise - soft brown - I got mine for $13.15 but prices may vary - This is one of my newest purchases and yet it's already become one of my faves. At first I was quite hesitant because it came out more waxy than I had expected. But after a few uses it became my favourite drugstore brow pencil. I use the colour soft brown and its the perfect colour match. I learnt that once you've applied the product, if you use the spooly at the end of the pencil it blends out the product really nicely. It stays on my brows for the whole day and doesn't fade at all. Its a little hard to use at first, but with a little practice it will become easy to apply.

5. Australis Metallix Eyeshadow - Gold Gaga - $7.95. The Australis Metallix Eyeshadows are very similar to the AC Me eyeshadows that Australis came out with before. The Metallix eyeshadows only come in 6 shades unfortunately but all the colours are incredibly pretty. My personal favourite is gold gaga which is a really intense metallic gold. These eyeshadows are cream eyeshadows. They are really easy to blend and have the best finish! A tiny bit goes a long way with this product. The next time you pass the drugstore go check this out and give it a swatch, you'll love it!

6. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - 15 Fair - $14.95. Fit me concealer is an amazing concealer. Its amazing for both face concealing and under eye concealing. It's hard to find a concealer that doesn't crease under the eyes, and this concealer does the job. It's an amazing formula and is really easy to blend. It's famous for being a dupe for the Nars creamy concealer and it definitely lives up to its name. I've used other concealers but always seem to come back to this one. I definitely recommend this to everyone. It has amazing coverage yet still feels really light on the skin and looks really natural.

7. NYX Butter Gloss - 05 Creme Brulee - $9.95 - This is the perfect buttery nude lipgloss. Its so buttery without feeling too sticky. I love the colour range of this line and creme brulee is the perfect nude out of the range. You can wear this anywhere including school and work. If you just want a little touch of pink and gloss on your lips then this is the perfect product for you. It lasts for ages on the lips and moistures the lips aswell. This is also perfect for wearing over the top of a nude lipstick. I highly recommend these buttery glosses.

8. Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Flared Mascara - Very Black - $19.95. This mascara is beautiful. If you want lots of volume then this is the mascara for you. You have to be careful not to put on too much otherwise it can get clumpy but if you work carefully with it, its amazing. Its not a major curling mascara but it does curl the eyelashes slightly. It also lengthens the eyelashes. So if you're on the lookout for a voluminous mascara then give this a go. I've tried many mascaras including many maybelline mascaras and this one is definitely my favourite for volume.

9. Maybelline Colour Sensational Stripped Nudes - 725 Tantalizing Taupe - $16.95. I was so pleased when I discovered this product. It is the perrrfect nude. It so moisturising to the lips and smells really good. It's sort of between a balm and a lipstick. It is so creamy and doesn't need a gloss over the top. It's stunning! Its also so good for its price! The other colours in this range are also  beautiful so I'm definitely going to have to pick some more up!

10. Maybelline Line Express Eyeliner - Ebony Black Noir - $8.50. This is such an easy eyeliner to work with. It's so black and its really easy to achieve a sharp black line. If you smudge it just after you've applied it you can create a really gorgeous smokey eye. It's definitely a staple to have.

Hope you've enjoyed this post and I hope it's inspired you to go to the drugstore and check out some of these amazing makeup products.
